How to decorate the fireplace in summer

Fireplaces take center stage at the arrival of autumn and are essential pieces during the winter months. We believe that its only function is to give us warmth and it seems that in summer it is useless. At Kaleidoscope everything is good for us, even the fireplaces, we love to give them a new use in the summer months.

Decorate the inside of the fireplace

On some occasions we have explained that all rooms must have that essence, have an area that stands out and unifies all the environments. The fireplace is that area.

It is logical that when we enter that room, our eye goes to the fireplace because it is that outstanding nucleus.

  1. Decorative railings

This may be the most classic way to decorate it, there are many types of fences so depending on the style of your home you can add a fence at the front.

  1. Plants, they give color

A lustrous and leafy plant just placed in the center of the fireplace, which is integrated into the environment and is the focal point. Choose a beautiful vase or pot to accompany the set. Another option is to use two plants that accompany both sides of the fireplace, giving balance and creating symmetry. If you prefer a vase, put seasonal flowers and with a little water and an aspirin they will last you several days and on top of that you will have a pleasant smell. If you are more of a plant person and you like to take care of them, choose an indoor one with a bright and cheerful color.

  1. Candles, an extra light and romanticism

We can create a special atmosphere by placing candles, during the day it is an ideal complement to decoration and at nightfall, we enjoy a special atmosphere by lighting the candles if they are of different sizes, we will create a romantic and unique scenario.

  1. Fireplace with a natural touch

If you are not sure what to decorate it with, look for the natural. A basket or fiber elements with some flowers or green branches that complete the set and give volume to the decoration in general.

  1. Vases or sculptures

If the fireplace is dark, a simple way to give it contrast and light is to place white or transparent vases. A figure or sculpture is also a good option to give an elegant touch and give a new air.

Don’t forget that the fireplace is a unique and different element, you don’t have to do much because it already stands out on its own. Therefore, from Kaleidoscope we advise you not to overload it if you want to give it a new look in summer, simple touches that also give it that prominence in summer and you can continue to get the most out of it throughout the year.
