Reform Project
Home refurbishment in Ciutat Universitaria
- Integral Reform
- Minimalist
The owners of the property wanted to revalue their property and when they visited us, they knew that the team of Kaleidoscope architects and interior designers could carry out both the design and the materialisation.
It was an integral reform: new distribution, new finishes, new installations. A project that has given this house a second life, adapted to the client’s needs, with a contemporary and elegant aesthetic.

A space to flow through
Clarity, simplicity and elegance come together in this house to give a minimalist and timeless touch
In this home, Nordic-minimalist décor seeks to simplify everyday life and create spaces that invite relaxation. The clean and functional aesthetic, combined with a careful selection of materials, offers a serene and elegant ambience, ideal for those who value mental clarity and tranquillity.

Brightness and use of the environment
Harmonious lighting for a balanced and pleasant atmosphere
We carefully applied indirect lighting, which is essential to generate a feeling of spaciousness and luminosity. The refurbishment focuses on maximising natural light, creating a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to relax. Large windows combine harmoniously with strategically placed lighting, ensuring that every corner shines with a life of its own.

Quality materials
Contrasts that evoke simplicity, with clean, uncluttered spaces promoting calm and serenity
Clarity and simplicity stand out in this refurbishment. The choice of dark flooring contrasts with the white walls, creating a clean and visually light environment. On the other hand, the green cladding in the main bathroom adds a touch of colour, contrasting with the whole.
Energy efficiency and acoustics
Living in the city centre
In addition to design and structure, good thermal and acoustic insulation is essential. These aspects are essential in modern construction, as they improve the quality of life by providing comfortable and efficient spaces.
Thermal and acoustic insulation
At Kaleidoscope, we implement tailor-made acoustic and thermal insulation systems, essential elements in modern construction.
Ventilation
During this integral renovation we included a controlled mechanical ventilation system to contribute to improved energy efficiency and a healthier home.
Air conditioning
Due to the orientation of the building, its size and characteristics, we installed a ventilation system to improve the temperature, humidity and air quality.
Domotics, automation and architectural details
Concealment of installations as a constructive solution
To create a feeling of more space and storage, we installed bespoke white lacquered wooden furniture to hide the air conditioning and heating installations. Plus the contrast with the oak wood gives it more personality, doesn’t it?

Minimalist and clean bathroom design
This is the perfect example of how small spaces can be stylish and functional. The combination of the bowl basin on a floating wooden countertop adds warmth, while the indirect lighting enhances the feeling of spaciousness and modernity. A design designed to maximise every corner without losing style.
Elegance and simplicity
Elegance and simplicity merge in this designer bathroom, where neutral tones and smooth surfaces provide a sense of spaciousness and serenity. The floating furniture and chrome taps add a touch of modernity, while the strategically placed lighting enhances every detail, transforming this space into a personal oasis of relaxation.

Decoration and style
The oak wood and furniture selected in this house make it a sober and simple style
Every decorative detail has been carefully selected to enhance the space and create a bespoke ambience, combining simplicity and comfort. The choice of high quality natural materials and the personalised design of the furniture harmonise the space and transform it into a unique home.

Cooking at a different level
Kitchen as the central axis of the home
The owners were looking for a more open and connected space to suit their lifestyle. In order to optimise space and create a functional environment, we designed an open-plan kitchen that integrates seamlessly with the living-dining room. The central island, with its straight lines and designer worktop, becomes the heart of the room. The combination of noble materials, such as wood and stainless steel, adds a touch of elegance and sophistication, without sacrificing practicality.
