The owners of this duplex were looking to make the most of and enjoy all the rooms in the house. The upper floor was used more as a storage room than as an attic.
The aim: to have a complete and useful home while making the most of as much space as possible. The objective was clear: to design the upper area in a way that addressed all the shortcomings previously experienced on the lower floor.

Kaleidoscope has managed to make the most of these square metres by locating a lounge area, a reading area, an office, a dressing room and a hidden storage room in the attic.

The entire room has been distributed taking into account the different heights and for the comfort of the owners, the most common areas are located in the highest area and the areas of sporadic use in the lower ceiling areas.

The colours used – grey, pink, white – provide the ideal contrast to the oak wood. As you know, Kaleidoscope plays a lot with lighting and it is a very careful issue, as it always values the implementation of indirect lighting to promote dilution in height and zoning spaces.

A space to flow through

The challenge. Converting a storage room into an open and functional space.

The owners needed to make the most of the attic of the duplex, with more storage space, seating areas and an office. This renovation was a challenge as the roof had three different slope planes. We solved it by strategically distributing the living areas, and separating them with furniture adapted to the space we were faced with. Yes, yes, we only used furniture. Closing off a space and generating the rest of the rooms according to atmospheres.

Brightness and use of the environment

The combination of white and wood is a ‘must’ that allows us to play with spaciousness and lighting.

‘With light tones used in the minimalist furniture, and the room’s own light, we increase the sensation of luminosity that circulates freely through the different rooms.
‘The refurbishment focuses on maximising natural light, creating a cosy atmosphere that invites you to relax. The large windows combine harmoniously with the strategically placed lighting, ensuring that every corner shines with a life of its own.

Quality materials

Quality in every detail: Premium materials that define exceptional spaces

We use noble materials, such as the oak wood used in the back of the shelves with the contrast of the white lacquered wood of the furniture structure.

Domotics, automation and architectural details

A home made to measure,
with big and small details.

Here we can talk about so many details… from the integration of noble materials, the sloping ceilings… but we will especially highlight the choice of a designer staircase, which connects both levels, becoming a prominent and functional element. And to connect with nature, we set out to create a vertical garden on the outdoor terrace, which not only beautifies the space but also contributes to improving indoor air quality.

Vertical garden

With a combination of carefully selected plants and an elegant geometric design, this architectural detail not only beautifies, but also improves air quality, integrating nature in a harmonious and avant-garde way into the interior of the home.

Relaxation corner

The choice of soft tones and carefully selected textiles not only embellish, but transforms and enriches the overall living experience.

Decoration and style

Perfect balance between design and functionality

The house consists of white colours on the floor and walls, contrasting with the wood of the furniture as well as the textiles of the sofas and cushions. All the rooms are designed to make the most of the space that helps us to complement the natural light in different environments. In particular, we highlight the contemporary outdoor design that fuses natural and artificial elements in an elegant way. The white brick wall serves as a canvas for a vibrant vertical garden composed of a variety of textures and shades of green. The combination of different types of artificial plants, from synthetic grass to white flowers, adds a touch of brightness.
