Object of Desire: Butterfly Chair

The BKF chair, also known as “Butterfly” or Hardoy chair is a steel and leather chair designed in the 30s in Buenos Aires by the architects Bonet, Ferrari and Kurchan and has become a retro icon of the utmost relevance.

After his stay in Le Corbusier’s studio in Paris, Ferrari Hardoy’s head was buzzing with new ideas and, at the peak of his career, he created this chair. One of the most copied chairs in history.

It is a very light piece, which does not overload the space and is therefore ideal in small rooms.

However, its versatility also makes it fit well in any type of environment, from a bedroom, a living room, a restaurant or a hotel reception.
